Admire vs. Idolize — What's the Difference?

Admiration is a feeling of respect and warm approval for someone or something, recognizing their virtues or achievements. It implies a sense of appreciation that acknowledges the admirable qualities or actions of the individual or entity. On the other hand, idolizing someone goes beyond mere admiration, placing the individual on a pedestal and often attributing them with perfection or superior qualities that may not be entirely realistic.
