Progress vs. Improvement — What's the Difference?

In contrast, improvement might be applied to specific projects, processes, or products, aiming to boost efficiency or effectiveness without necessarily implying a grand scale of development.

Whereas, improvement is usually seen as a reaction to a recognized deficit or inefficiency, targeting a particular area or aspect for enhancement.
