Punjab vs. Kerala — What's the Difference?

Punjab is often dubbed the "Granary of India," thanks to its significant contribution to the country's agricultural output, especially wheat and rice. Economically, Punjab's wealth has traditionally been driven by agriculture and related industries, though it's now diversifying into manufacturing and services. Kerala, whereas, benefits from a strong service sector, remittances from its large diaspora, and tourism, drawn by its natural beauty, wellness tourism including Ayurveda, and ecotourism.

In terms of social development, Punjab boasts robust infrastructure and a high standard of living but struggles with issues like water depletion and stubble burning. Kerala, on the other hand, is lauded for its top-notch healthcare, high literacy rate, and strong social welfare systems, often cited as a model for human development in India.
